Standard-built cleanroom for PVD system assembly & FAT
The facility includes a 700 m² cleanroom, built to ISO Class 1000 standard. The cleanroom complex is structured with a grey room and a gowning room, ensuring controlled transition into the cleanroom environment and compliance with rigorous contamination standards.
The cleanroom supports the full assembly of sensitive systems and substrate handling under controlled conditions and is used for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and customer demonstrations. Customers are welcome to visit and witness system performance verification prior to delivery.
For customers interested in seeing Polyteknik systems running in a production environment, visits to selected reference customer sites can be arranged.
Characterisation laboratory
An in-house optical and electrical characterisation laboratory is integrated into the facility, enabling documented performance verification of completed systems.
This allows Polyteknik to provide customers with measured data on system behaviour before shipment, reducing commissioning time on site and supporting process confidence from day one.
Integrated manufacturing
The facility houses a dedicated welding and machining workshop where modules and components are manufactured in-house. This gives Polyteknik direct control over the mechanical quality and tolerances that are critical in high-vacuum systems.
From the workshop, components move into clean assembly areas where systems are integrated under controlled conditions, with engineering and process development offices immediately adjacent.
Having mechanical fabrication, system assembly, and engineering under one roof shortens lead times, tightens quality control, and keeps the feedback loop between design and production tight. There is no handoff to external subcontractors for critical manufacturing steps.
