Polyteknik Inaugurates New Headquarters in Hjallerup
On September 30th, Polyteknik AS welcomed 250 guests to the official opening of our new headquarters in Hjallerup, Denmark. Business partners, employees and their families, and friends of the company all joined the celebration.
The ceremony started with a ribbon-cutting using four pairs of scissors. They were held by Mikael Klitgaard, Mayor of Brønderslev Municipality; Per-Michael Johansen, Rector of Aalborg University; Jens William Larsen, CEO of Polyteknik; and Carl-Erik Sølberg, who supervised Jens William Larsen at Aalborg University and has had a lasting influence on the path Polyteknik has followed.
We are grateful to all four for being part of the day.

Polyteknik has been growing steadily, and our buildings in Østervrå were becoming too small for the business. The new headquarters is a key part of our growth plan. It is now home to our head office and the PVD Systems division, where we design and build PVD (physical vapor deposition) equipment as a PVD equipment manufacturer.
The Coating Service division stays in Østervrå. With PVD Systems gone from the site, Coating Service now has more space for its own operations.
Investing in PVD equipment manufacturing capacity
As we announced at the groundbreaking last summer, the new building is a significant investment in our capacity as a PVD equipment manufacturer. Our PVD systems are used by customers in materials research as well as in semiconductor manufacturing.
The timing is deliberate. Semiconductor technologies, which underpin computer chips and electronics, are becoming vital to more and more industries, and the need for specialized materials processing and deposition technology is rising with them. Europe is also putting renewed strategic focus on semiconductors. With this expansion, we want to help strengthen the European semiconductor ecosystem.
One location for engineering, development, and production
The new 6,000 m² building gathers our engineering, development, and production under one roof. It offers a much larger production area and a 700 m² cleanroom, giving us the foundation for future innovation and growth, both for Polyteknik and for North Jutland.
